Snapchat is a photo messaging app for iPhones, Androids, and Windows Phone that is primarily used by teens and young adults.  Snapchat allows users to share photos that are only visible for a short period of time (10 seconds max). The common belief is that these photos “disappear” after the set amount of time and are not longer accessible; however, this could not be further from the truth. When the viewing time for the photo has expired, the photo is technically deleted, but unless the phone or memory card is physically destroy the photos can quickly and easily be recovered.
